Mission StatementThe Lake City Junior Academy family exists to show children Jesus, nurture their love for Him and others, teach them to think, and empower them to serve.
Lake City Junior Academy provides a spiritually oriented education for children. A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental in the philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist schools. We respect His divine authority and recognize His intervention in human affairs. We believe that true education develops the spiritual, mental, and physical powers of each student; preparing them for the joy of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to:
- develop a personal relationship with God and his fellow men as stated in Matthew 2:37-39
- master academic skills
- value hardwork, physical and mental
- cultivate physical fitness
Lake City Junior Academy is accredited for Preschool through 10th grade by the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, which is recognized by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools, the National Council for Private School Accreditation, and the State of Idaho. In addition, K-10 teachers are fully credentialed and our Early Childhood program is state certified.Lake City Junior Academy is owned by the Upper Columbia Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and is operated by the area constituent Adventist Churches under the auspices and in harmony with the policies of its owners. The School Board is comprised of representatives from these churches and meets regularly to review operation and to formulate plans for the continued pursuit of excellence in Adventist Christian education.
